Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Shunchang County, belonging to Nanping City, Fujian Province, is located at the southern foot of Wuyi Mountain Range, at the confluence of Futunxi and Jinxi in the upper reaches of Minjiang River, and has been an important transportation hub and material distribution center in northern Fujian since ancient times. With a forest coverage of 78.8%, Shunchang is known as the "Hometown of Chinese Cedar", and has natural and humanistic landscapes such as Huayang Mountain and Hezhang Rock Grotto, which is a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit with a long history of cliff statues. Shunchang has a diversified culture, including the thousand-year-old temple Yuanmiao Kuan, the well-preserved Ming and Qing streets of Yuankeng Ancient Town, and traditional folklore such as "pulling candles over the bridge" is unique. The economy is based on eco-agriculture, green industry and cultural and tourism industries, with bamboo and wood processing, new building materials and other industries flourishing, making Shunchang an eco-city that is pleasant to live and work in.
