Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Located on the Mediterranean coast of northeastern Morocco, near the Algerian border, Saïdia is known as the "Blue Pearl" seaside resort. The city has one of the longest golden sandy beaches in Morocco, stretching 14 kilometers, and attracts both European and local tourists with its crystal clear waters and excellent tourist facilities.
Saïdiyeh has a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. The city's backdrop of the Beni Sennen mountain range and its face towards the Mediterranean Sea creates a unique landscape of mountains and sea. The nearby wetlands at the mouth of the Mulua River are an important habitat for migratory birds and are classified as a Ramsar Wetland Reserve.
Saïdiyeh has one of the largest marinas in Morocco, offering water sports, golf courses and modern resorts. The old town retains traditional Moroccan architecture, while the newly built Marina district is full of modern resort facilities. Visitors can enjoy water sports such as sailing and surfing, or explore the nearby Spanish enclave of Melilla.
Saïdiyeh is connected to Morocco's major cities via the Nador Tetouan highway and is about 60 kilometers from Oujda Airport. The best season to visit is from May to September for beach vacations and nature exploration.
