Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Ruisui is located in the northern part of Hualien County, Taiwan, in the heart of the Hualien-East Longitudinal Valley, with the Pacific Ocean to the east and the Central Mountain Range to the west, making it a leisure town with both agricultural heritage and natural scenery. The local area is best known for the "Ruisui Pasture", where visitors can experience milking cows, feeding animals and other rural activities, making it a popular choice for family trips; the neighboring "Maizuru Scenic Area" combines hot springs, waterfalls and walking trails. The Maizuru Hot Spring has clear water, rich in minerals, and is known as the "Beauty Soup". Mizuho is also an important aboriginal settlement of the Amis people, and its traditional tribal culture has been well preserved, with festivals such as the Harvest Festival full of ethnic flavor. In addition, the local area is rich in high-quality agricultural products such as gold needles, shakya, and pineapples, and combines idyllic scenery with humanistic flavors, making it a tranquil stop not to be missed on a trip to the East Huadong Valley.
