Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Mabubas is the capital city of Malange province, in the Republic of Angola, and is located in the highlands of the north-western part of the country, at an altitude of around 1,100 meters above sea level. The city is situated in the upper basin of the Kwanza River and has a savannah climate, with favorable average annual temperatures and distinct rainy and dry seasons.
As the economic center of Malange Province, Mabubas is mainly based on agriculture and trade. The surrounding area is rich in coffee, cotton, corn and other crops, and its location at the intersection of the Benguela railroad and road network makes it an important hub for the transfer of goods between the interior of Angola and the coast.
Mabubas has a population of about 250,000, mainly Mbundu, and retains traditional Angolan culture. The city's architecture is a mix of colonial style and modern facilities, and is surrounded by tourist resources such as waterfalls and nature reserves, which are gradually developing the eco-tourism industry.
