Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Jiangzhou is not an independent country, but a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Chongzuo City in China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, located in southwestern Guangxi, bordering Vietnam and at the heart of the Sino-Vietnamese Border Economic Cooperation Zone. With a total area of about 2,951 square kilometers and a population of about 400,000, it is a multi-ethnic area dominated by the Zhuang.
Jiangzhou has a subtropical monsoon climate, rich in natural resources, producing sugarcane, cassava and other crops, and is an important sugar production area in Guangxi. Industry is mainly sugar, building materials and border trade, relying on Pingxiang, Longzhou and other ports to develop cross-border logistics and processing trade. There are karst landscapes in the Zuojiang River Basin in the territory, with high potential for ecotourism resources.
As one of the birthplaces of Zhuang culture, it has preserved intangible cultural heritages such as Zhuang Song Wei and Tianqin art. The transportation network covers the Nanyou Expressway, Xianggui Railway and several national highways, and is about 150 kilometers away from Nanning Wuxu Airport, which is an important land passage node connecting China and ASEAN.
