Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Huidong, belonging to the city of Huizhou, Guangdong Province, is located in the southeast corner of Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Bay Area, by the mountains and the sea, with unique natural endowments. The golden coastline stretching nearly 100 kilometers here connects well-known coastal resorts such as Xunliao Bay and Shuangyue Bay, and the "heavenly white sand" of Xunliao Bay and the "double-moon spectacle" of Shuangyue Bay have attracted countless tourists to explore the beauty of the azure blue. In addition to the coastal scenery, Huidong is also home to China's only national nature reserve for sea turtles, which is of precious ecological value. The Lotus Mountain range in the county is a green lung on the Tropic of Cancer. Economically, Huidong relies on its port and manufacturing base, while at the same time deeply engages in marine fisheries and eco-tourism, making it a coastal county with vitality and charm in the eastern part of Guangdong, where the Hakka culture and fishing villages coexist harmoniously, displaying the unique charm of multiculturalism.
