Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Huaihua is located in the western part of Hunan Province, between the Wuling Mountains and the Xuefeng Mountains, and is an important transportation hub connecting the central and western parts of the country, and is known as the "Western Gate of Hunan". It is a multi-ethnic settlement area, with a rich culture of Dong and Miao minorities, and unique Dong songs and Dong villages (such as the ancient Dong villages in Taro). During the war period, Zhijiang, Huaihua was the "famous city of surrender", and the Zhijiang Surrender Square witnessed the historical storm. In terms of natural landscape, Xuefeng Mountain is rolling and Yuan River passes through the city, which makes the ecological environment superior. As the regional center of the Wuling Mountains, Huaihua is becoming a well-known tourist destination both at home and abroad, relying on its agricultural characteristics (such as Qianyang Bingsugar Oranges) and cultural and tourism resources, and its unique urban charm, which is a blend of ethnic flavor and historical heritage, continues to shine.
