Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. Gaobeidian is located in the central part of Hebei Province, China, under the jurisdiction of Baoding, and is an important node city for the synergistic development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei. Located in the triangle hinterland of Beijing, Tianjin and Baoding, it is about 80 kilometers away from Beijing, with convenient transportation, and a number of trunk lines such as the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway and the Beijing-Hong Kong-Macao Expressway running through the whole territory.
The city's economy is dominated by industry, with clusters of automobile manufacturing, machinery processing, food processing and other industries, making it one of the important industrial bases in North China.
