Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Located in the northwestern part of Anhui Province, China, Fuyang is situated at the southern end of the Yellow-Huaihai Plain and is a member city of the Yangtze River Delta City Group. As the gateway to the southeastern part of the Central Plains Economic Zone, Fuyang has been an important trade hub since ancient times due to the water transportation advantage of the Ying River, a tributary of the Huai River, which runs through its entire territory.
With a history of more than 3,000 years, Fuyang is the hometown of Guan Zhong, Jikang and other famous historical figures. With a current resident population of about 8.2 million, Fuyang is the most populous city in Anhui Province. Fuyang dialect is the main dialect of the official language of the Central Plains, and the folk culture is a blend of the characteristics of the Central Plains culture and the Huaihe River culture.
As a national logistics hub carrying city, Fuyang has formed pillar industries such as agricultural and sideline product processing and equipment manufacturing. The Beijing-Kowloon Railway and Shanghe-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway intersect here, and Fuyang West Railway Station is an important railroad hub in East China, while the 4C airport connects to major cities in China.
Bali River Scenic Area is a national 5A-level tourist attraction, and Yingshang Digou Ecological Park shows the wetland style of the Huaibei Plain. Fuyang continues to promote the construction of the Huaihe River Ecological Economic Belt, and builds a livable and modern city through the development of Xihu New District.
