Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Located in the northwest of Hubei Province, China, Fancheng is the core city of Xiangyang, which is separated from the ancient city of Xiangyang by the Han River, forming the historical pattern of "South City, North City". As a national important transportation hub, Fancheng has a history of more than 2,800 years, and was once an important birthplace of the Three Kingdoms culture and the Han River civilization. With an area of about 566 square kilometers and a resident population of about 800,000, the city has a northern subtropical monsoon climate with four distinct seasons.
Since ancient times, Fancheng has been a place of war, and famous historical events such as Guan Yu's flooding of seven armies during the Three Kingdoms period and Yue Fei's resistance to gold in the Southern Song Dynasty all took place here. There are 47 cultural relics protection units at all levels, such as Mi Gong Shrine and Ping Xiang Gate, etc. The culture of Han River wharf and traditional trade and commerce is well preserved, and it is known as the "Pearl of Han River".
Modern Fancheng has formed an economic system dominated by the automobile industry and modern service industry, and has an important plate of Xiangyang Free Trade Zone. The construction of Fancheng New District is accelerating, and traditional beef noodles, yellow wine and other delicacies are unique, while the night view of the Han River and the city's light show have become a hot spot on the Internet, a perfect blend of historical heritage and modern urban style.
