Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
Located in the eastern part of the Loess Plateau in North China, the urban area of Shanxi, with the provincial capital Taiyuan as its core, covers the built-up areas of Datong, Jinzhong, Changzhi and other major cities, and is an important carrier of the civilization of the three Jin dynasties. It carries a deep historical heritage, where the Jin merchant culture originated, and where monuments such as the Pingyao Ancient City (a World Heritage Site) and the Yungang Grottoes (around the urban area of Taiyuan) bear witness to the splendor of a millennium-old civilization. The economy of the urban area, relying on its traditional industries, is accelerating its transformation into new energy, equipment manufacturing and cultural and tourism integration. As a national innovative city, Taiyuan is booming with modern service and high-tech industries. At the same time, the city's attractions such as the Jin Temple and the Twin Pagodas Temple reflect the modern cityscape, preserving the ancient flavor of the "Mountains and Rivers in the Surface" while displaying vigorous modernization and development, making it an important node connecting history and the future.
