Beita District is a municipal district of Shaoyang City, Hunan Province, China, founded in 1997. It is located in the northern part of Shaoyang City, at the confluence of the Zijiang River and the Shaoshui River, and is named after the Beita Temple (an ancient pagoda from the Tang Dynasty) in the district. The area has a total area of 84.5 square kilometers, with a resident population of about 150,000, governing five streets and three townships, and is an important industrial and commercial logistics base in Shaoyang City. The district has convenient transportation, with the Hukun Expressway and Erguang Expressway passing through the district, and is about 8 kilometers away from Shaoyang Airport.
