Rubio is an important border city in the state of Táchira, Venezuela, located in the Andean region in the west of the country, next to the Colombian border. The city is about 800 meters above sea level, has a mild and humid climate, and is known for its coffee growing and agricultural economy. Founded in the late 19th century, Rubio was a hub for regional trade and cultural exchange.
