Rongjiang is located in the southeastern part of Guizhou Province, belonging to Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, at the junction of Guizhou and Guizhou provinces, in the middle reaches of the Duliu River, and is known as the "South Gate of Qiandongnan".
