Rongchang District is located in the western part of Chongqing Municipality, China, in the hinterland of the twin-city economic circle of the Chengdu-Chongqing region, and is an important gateway for Chongqing's westward opening. As a national high-tech zone and the ceramic capital of the west, Rongchang is known for its specialty industries and cultural heritage.
Founded in 759 AD, Rongchang has three national intangible cultural heritages: summer cloth, folding fan and pottery. The Rongchang pig, as one of the three best pig breeds in China, is listed in the National Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources Protection List. Modern industries are led by electronic information, intelligent equipment and biomedicine, forming a "ceramics + animal husbandry" double ten billion industry cluster.
The area is crossed by water systems such as the Segi River and has ecological scenic spots such as the Lafeng Forest Park. The Chengdu-Chongqing High Speed Railway, Chengdu-Chongqing Railway and Yukun High Speed Railway form a three-dimensional transportation network, and the area is about one hour's drive from the main city of Chongqing and Chengdu, making it an important bridgehead for the Twin Cities Economic Circle in the Chengdu-Chongqing area.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
