The capital and largest city of the British Virgin Islands, Road Town is located on the southern coast of Tortola in the Leeward Islands of the Caribbean, a city of natural beauty and modern urban energy. As the political, economic and cultural center of the islands, Road Town is a small but Caribbean-inspired city of about 15,000 people with a concentration of government offices, a commercial port and major tourist facilities. The Old Town, with its colorful wooden buildings and colonial ruins, stands out against the green hills and blue waters of the surrounding area. It is the gateway to exploring the British Virgin Islands, where visitors can experience sailing, scuba diving, or stroll along the beachfront promenade to experience the relaxed atmosphere of a tropical island, making it a unique and charming destination in the Caribbean.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
