Linda, Armenia is not a separate country or city, but refers to the Republic of Armenia and a common phonetic variant of its capital, Yerevan. Located in the South Caucasus region, Armenia is a landlocked country bordering Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Iran. Its capital, Yerevan, is the political, economic and cultural center of the country and has a long history dating back to the 8th century BC.
