Located in the southern part of the Tibet Autonomous Region of China, Shigatse is the second largest city in Tibet, at an altitude of about 3,840 meters above sea level, and is known as the "Home of Barley in the World" and the "Home of Mount Everest". As the cultural and economic center of the latter part of Tibet, Shigatse has a rich historical heritage, such as the Zashilunpo Monastery, the residence of the Panchen Lama, as well as magnificent natural landscapes, including the base camp of Mount Everest.
The city has a dry, cold climate and a well-developed tourism industry that attracts tourists to explore Tibetan Buddhist culture and the Himalayas. The economy of Shigatse is based on agriculture, animal husbandry and tourism, with barley and yak products being local specialties. It is well connected to the rest of Tibet via National Highway 318 and Rikaze Peace Airport.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
