Rijeka, Croatia: Historic Port and Vibrant City on the Adriatic Sea

Rijeka (Rijeka) is the third largest city in Croatia, located on the northern coast of the Adriatic Sea at the mouth of the Krka River, is the country's most important maritime gateway and deep-water port. This blend of medieval, baroque and industrial flavor of the city, with nearly 2,000 years of history, has been subject to Rome, Venice, Austria-Hungary and other multi-cultural influences, the old town of Rijeka Castle, St. Vitus Cathedral and other relics of the vicissitudes of the past. As one of the economic centers of Croatia, the port of Rijeka is responsible for more than 70% of the country's maritime cargo throughput, and at the same time, relying on the Mediterranean climate and mountainous landscape, has become a popular tourist destination, and the Rijeka Carnival, held annually, is one of Europe's largest traditional carnival activities. With its history and modern urban energy, Rijeka is a must-visit destination for exploring Croatia's coastal culture.

Trinity is one of the twelve parishes in the northern part of the British Crown Dependency of Jersey, located about 6 kilometers north of St. Helier. The parish covers an area of approximately 12.3 square kilometers and has a rolling hilly landscape and a magnificent coastline, with the highest point, Les Landings Hill, overlooking the French coast.

Trinity is famous for its historic sites, including the Neolithic Durgu Monument and the 16th century Holy Trinity Church. The parish is home to the Jersey Zoo (now known as Durrell Safari Park), founded in 1959 by naturalist Gerald Durrell and dedicated to the conservation of endangered species. Traditional agriculture and tourism form the backbone of the local economy, with the annual Trinity Show being an important agricultural event for the island.
