As one of the economic centers of Croatia, the port of Rijeka is responsible for more than 70% of the country's maritime cargo throughput, and at the same time, relying on the Mediterranean climate and mountainous landscape, has become a popular tourist destination, and the Rijeka Carnival, held annually, is one of Europe's largest traditional carnival activities. With its history and modern urban energy, Rijeka is a must-visit destination for exploring Croatia's coastal culture.
