Ricault (Riobamba) is the capital of the Chimborazo province in central Ecuador, located on the high plateau of the Andes at an altitude of about 2,750 meters. Known as the "Noble City", the city has a rich colonial and cultural heritage.
Ricault is situated along Ecuador's famous "Avenue of the Volcanoes", next to the Chimborazo volcano (Ecuador's highest peak). The climate is cool and mild, with an average annual temperature of about 13°C. The dry (June-September) and rainy (October-May) seasons are ideal for outdoor activities.
