Located in the core area of Jining City, Shandong Province, China, Rencheng District is the political, economic and cultural center of Jining City. As an important transportation hub in southwestern Shandong Province, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal passes through the city, which has been a major transportation town since ancient times. With a history of more than 2,200 years, Rencheng is the meeting place of Confucian culture, canal culture and water margin culture, and has nurtured the cultural footprints of famous historical figures such as Li Bai and Du Fu.
The district is located at the junction of four provinces, namely Lu, Su, Yu and Anhui, with a well-developed network of highways and railroads, and about 30 kilometers away from Jining Qufu Airport. Equipment manufacturing, modern service industry and trade and logistics are the pillar industries, and there is a state-level Jining High-tech Industrial Development Zone. 2022 GDP exceeded 60 billion yuan, per capita disposable income in the southwest of Shandong Province in the forefront.
There are national cultural heritage units such as Taibai Building, Tieta Temple, Dongda Temple, etc. The Canal Culture Festival and Taibai Lake Lotus Festival are held annually. Specialty snacks include Beng Pork Dry Rice and Jining Grits Soup. Nanchi Park and Taibai Lake Wetland are the city's ecological business cards, and the overall appearance of the city is a livable city with a blend of ancient and modern times.
Sevan is a small town in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik, located in the eastern part of the country on the shores of Lake Sevan, about 66 kilometers from the capital city of Yerevan. The town is famous for its eponymous alpine lake, Lake Sevan, one of the largest freshwater lakes in Eurasia, at an altitude of about 1,900 meters above sea level, which is known as the "Pearl of Armenia".
Lake Sevan is surrounded by magnificent landscapes and crystal clear waters, making it an important tourist and recreational destination in Armenia. The town boasts historical monuments such as the Sevan Monastery, a 9th-century monastery situated on a peninsula overlooking the lake, which attracts many tourists and pilgrims. With a population of around 20,000, the town of Sevan retains its traditional Armenian culture, while the infrastructure is constantly being improved to provide accommodation and catering services. It is an ideal starting point for exploring the nature and history of the Caucasus and is easily accessible for short trips.
