Remington, the county seat of Jasper County, is located in the northwestern part of the U.S. state of Indiana in the Mid-Hinterland Belt between Chicago and Indianapolis. With a population of about 2,200 (2020 data), the town is known for its quiet rural atmosphere and deep agricultural roots. The local economy is based on corn and soybean farming, supplemented by small-scale manufacturing and retail, and the community lives at a leisurely pace, retaining a typical small-town Midwestern American flavor. Remington's educational system is well established, with public schools Remington Elementary and Jasper County High School, and community events such as the annual Jasper County Fair attract neighborhood residents. As the center of the county, the town hall and county courthouse are located here, providing administrative services to the surrounding rural areas and serving as an important hub for local residents and businesses.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
