Lezhë is an important city in northwestern Albania, located in the inland hinterland on the Adriatic coast, about 30 kilometers from the capital city of Tira, and is the administrative and economic center of the district of Lezhë. With a history of more than 2000 years, the city was once the heart of the Epirus League and is famous for the fact that Aristotle, the teacher of Alexander the Great, lectured here.
