Radža is a quiet town in western North Macedonia, nestled in the southern foothills of the Šar Mountains, about 120 kilometers from the capital, Skopje. The town is known for its well-preserved Ottoman-era architecture and traditional Balkan flavor, with the old town's stone paths, wooden houses and quaint mosques speaking of its long history. Surrounded by dense forests and crystal clear mountain springs, it is an ideal destination for hiking and eco-tourism, especially in summer. The local people still practice handicrafts and traditional folklore, and the annual "Raja Cultural Festival" attracts many visitors to experience the authentic rural life of Northern Macedonia.
Derg Khot is a small city and administrative center in the Gobi Altai Province of Mongolia, located in southwestern Mongolia on the border between the vast Gobi Desert and the Altai Mountains. The city is sparsely populated, with a predominantly pastoralist community and an economy that relies on traditional animal husbandry, such as the herding of camels, goats and sheep. The climate is arid, with cold winters and hot summers, typical of a continental desert.
Being a remote area, Dergeht has a relatively simple infrastructure but retains Mongolian nomadic cultural traditions such as the Naadam festivities. The surrounding natural landscape is unique and includes desert steppes and hills for adventure tourism. The city is connected by road to the provincial capital of Altai, making it an important stopover for exploring the western Gobi.
