Quartzsite is a town in La Paz County, Arizona, United States, located in the western desert region of the state, about 160 kilometers from the state capital, Phoenix. Located along Interstate 10 and adjacent to the Colorado River, the town is known for its unique desert climate and rich mineral resources.
Coatesate is characterized by a typical Sonoran desert climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, pleasant winters. The average annual precipitation is less than 130 millimeters, and the temperature difference between day and night is significant. The surrounding landscape is dominated by sand dunes, rocky outcrops and sparse desert vegetation, with the famous Kufa and Bryce mountain ranges nearby.
The town's economy is centered on tourism, mining and winter RV culture. It attracts over a million visitors each winter (November to March) and is known for the world's largest RV rally and mineral and gemstone show.
