Qixian County, located in the central part of Shanxi Province, in the hinterland of Jinzhong Basin, is one of the important birthplaces of Jin merchant culture, known as the "hometown of Jin merchants" and "cultural city". Here in the Ming and Qing dynasties, merchants gathered, was an important hub of the Miles Tea Road and Jin trade, retained a large number of Jin merchants compound and ancient architectural complexes. Among them, the Qiao family compound as "the first residence of Jin merchants", its exquisite brick carvings, wood carvings and architectural layout can be called a model of the northern residence; the old street of Jin merchants preserved the Ming and Qing dynasties of the ticket, dart boards, merchant houses and other old sites, strolling through them as if you could hear the camel bells and abacus sound. In addition, Qixian paper-cutting, Jin opera and other intangible cultural heritages have been passed down to the present day, showing the profound folk heritage. Nowadays, this thousand-year-old city is attracting tourists from all over the world with its unique cultural charm of Jin merchants.
Diffa, the capital of the Diffa region in southeastern Niger, is located on the southern edge of the Sahara Desert and shares a border with Nigeria, making it one of the most important border cities in Niger. The city is located in the lower Niger River basin around the climate of the tropical desert climate, hot and dry throughout the year, the average annual precipitation is less than 300 millimeters. The economy is based on agriculture and animal husbandry, and the surrounding areas are rich in millet, sorghum and livestock. Diffa, as a regional trade center, undertakes the function of cross-border trade with neighboring countries, such as Nigeria, and is especially famous for the trade of livestock, agricultural products and handicrafts.
