Located in the eastern part of Gansu Province in China, Qingyang is at the junction of Shaanxi, Gansu and Ningxia provinces, and is an important regional city in east Gansu. As one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation, Qingyang has a long history and is known as the "source of farming culture", with monuments such as the Zhou Zuling Mausoleum and the Northern Grottoes Temple testifying to its profound cultural heritage.
Qingyang belongs to the loess plateau gully area, rich in natural resources, and is the main production area of the Changqing Oilfield, with a prominent energy economy.
