Located in the central part of China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Qingtongxia is a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Wuzhong Municipality, situated in the upper reaches of the Yellow River and famous for its spectacular Qingtongxia Reservoir and canyon landscape. As an important industrial and agricultural base in Ningxia, the city focuses on energy, chemicals and agricultural product processing as its leading industries, and also boasts a rich historical and cultural heritage, such as the Qingtongxia Water Conservancy Hub Project and Xixia cultural relics.
