Qingshuihe County, belonging to Hohhot City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, is located in the south-central part of Inner Mongolia, on the edge of Loess Plateau, with Shanxi and Shaanxi across the Yellow River, and is an important node of the Hohhot-Bao'e Economic Circle. The Yellow River meanders through the city, giving rise to such magnificent landscapes as the Laoniuwan Yellow River Canyon and Qiankunwan, which are known as the "Yellow River Gallery".
