Located in the northern part of Keelung City, Taiwan Province of China, Chidu District is an important gateway and transportation hub of Keelung City, neighboring Nuan Nuan District in the east, the Taiwan Strait in the west, Anshan District in the south, and Zhongzheng District in the north. Because of its close proximity to Keelung Harbor, it has historically been a major town for port logistics and industrial development, with port-related industrial parks and storage facilities. In terms of transportation, the Taiwan Railway Administration's Longitudinal Line and the Taiwan Railway's Qidu Station are located here, which is a key node of the Beigao Railway transportation, and there are also a number of bus lines connecting the surrounding area, forming a convenient transportation network. The district has a strong sense of life, combining the industrial heritage of a port city with the humanistic features of a coastal community, making it one of the most important functional urban areas in Keelung.
Maturi is the capital and largest city of the French overseas region of French Guinaya, located on the northeast coast of South America on the banks of the Maroni River. As the administrative, economic and cultural center of the region, Maturi is a unique blend of Creole, French and Caribbean cultures.
Mathuri is located in a tropical rainforest climate zone, with an average annual temperature of about 27°C and abundant rainfall. Close to the equator and rich in biodiversity, the city is surrounded by dense rainforest and is only about 60 kilometers from the famous Kourou Space Center.
As the economic engine of French Guiana, Mathuri thrives on port trade, services and tourism. Its neighboring Kourou Space Center, a European space launch site, brings high-tech industries and international talent to the city, creating a unique "Tropical Space City" landscape.
Mathuri is known for its colorful Creole architecture, lively central market and diverse cuisine. Visitors can explore the Cathedral of the Holy Savior, the botanical gardens, or take a boat trip into the rainforest. Every year during Carnival, the streets are filled with music and dance, showcasing the passionate collision of Caribbean and French cultures.
