Located in the eastern part of Zhoushan Islands, Zhejiang Province, China, Putuo is one of the four most famous Buddhist mountains in China, famous for its Guanyin Dojo. The core area of Putuo Mountain is a national 5A level tourist attraction, known as the "sea and sky Buddhist country".
Putuo Mountain is home to thousand-year-old temples such as Puji Temple and Fayu Temple, blending Buddhist culture with island scenery. The surrounding attractions such as Zhujiajian Beach and Dongji Island are famous for their turquoise sea, golden sand and fishing villages, making it a unique destination for pilgrimage and vacation.
Visitors can experience vegetarian culture, beach hiking and the International Sand Sculpture Festival in summer. With both religious and humanistic heritage and natural ecological charm, Putuo is a popular choice for tourism in the Yangtze River Delta region.
Heidrí Sand is not a country or a city, but a small settlement in southeast Iceland, located near the town of Hofn. It is situated at the foot of the magnificent Vatna Glacier, close to the famous Jägulsárlón glacial lake, making it an ideal base for exploring Iceland's natural wonders. The area is sparsely populated, with fishing and tourism as the backbone of the economy, and is surrounded by glaciers, black sand beaches and volcanic landscapes.
Headley-Sands is adjacent to Europe's largest glacier, the Vatna Glacier, where visitors can experience glacier hiking and ice cave exploration. The ice floes of the glacial lake of Jagosharon are only a few kilometers away from the black sandy beach of Diamond, which offers excellent conditions for aurora observation in winter. Nearby is the Skafta Mountain Nature Reserve, a pristine landscape of tundra, waterfalls and ice caps.
Reykjavík is about a 4-hour drive from Reykjavík along Ring Road 1, and is recommended in summer to avoid the harsh winters. Accommodation is mainly B&Bs and vacation rentals, which need to be booked in advance. Amenities are limited, so it's recommended to bring necessary supplies and pay attention to weather and safety guidelines when traveling.
