Putian is located in the eastern coastal area of Fujian Province, China. It is a prefecture-level city under the jurisdiction of Fujian Province, situated on the central coast of Fujian and bordered by the Taiwan Strait to the east, with rich marine resources and a favorable geographic location. The city has a long history and deep cultural heritage, and is the birthplace of Mazu culture.
