Puerto Sines is an important port city in the southern Chilean region of Los Angeles, located in the province of Coico, in the northern part of the Patagonia region, and is a key gateway between the interior and the Pacific Ocean. The port is known for its fishing and forestry resources, with salmon and cod in the surrounding waters supporting the backbone of the local economy, as well as its role as a hub for timber exports, through which the high quality timber from the south of Chile is shipped around the world.
