Pointe des Almadies is a seaside city in the Dakar region of Senegal, located on the Cape Verde Peninsula at the westernmost tip of the African continent, adjacent to the capital city of Dakar, and is one of the country's tourism and economic hubs. Known for its long stretches of sandy beaches, crystal clear waters and pleasant climate, it is a popular destination for surfing, sailing and sunbathing, with attractions such as Plage de Pointe-Nassau attracting tourists from around the globe.
