Introduction to Podgorica, the Capital of Montenegro

Podgorica is the capital and largest city of the Republic of Montenegro, located in the center of the country, at the confluence of the rivers Moraca and Lim, and is the political, economic and cultural center of Montenegro. The city has a long history, dating back to Roman times, and was ruled by the Byzantine and Ottoman Empires, with a mixture of historical monuments and modern buildings, such as the Turkish Baths in the Old Town, St. Michael's Church and the World War II Memorial. As a transportation hub, Podgorica International Airport connects to major European cities, and a network of railroads and highways runs throughout the country. The climate is Mediterranean, with warm, dry summers and mild, rainy winters. Although not as well known for tourism as Kotor or Budva, the cultural scene, museums and surrounding natural beauty (such as Lake Skadar National Park) still attract visitors. In addition, educational institutions such as the University of Montenegro make it an important academic center.

Ait Bahya, Morocco: A Traditional Gem of Berber Culture

Located in the Marrakech-Safi region of southern Morocco, at the foot of the majestic Atlas Mountains, Ait Bahya is one of the traditional Berber villages. It is famous for its well-preserved adobe complexes, unique kasbahs (fortress-like dwellings) and winding stone alleyways, which perfectly demonstrate the wisdom of the Berbers to live in harmony with nature. The village is surrounded by terraced fields planted with olives, apricots and other crops, and the scenery varies throughout the seasons, making it an ideal place to experience Moroccan countryside life. Although not as well known as the neighboring ancient town of Ait Benhaddou, Ait Baha retains a more primitive atmosphere of life, where visitors can taste the traditional Berber cuisine, listen to ancient songs, and feel the deep heritage of North African culture.
