Pingyang County is located in the southeastern coast of Zhejiang Province, China, and is a county under the jurisdiction of Wenzhou City. It is located on the south coast of Oujiang Mouth, east of the East China Sea, west of Wencheng County, south of Cangnan County, and north of Rui'an City. The total area is about 1051 square kilometers, with a population of nearly 900,000 people. With a long history, Pingyang County was founded in Taikang four years (AD 283) of the Western Jin Dynasty, possessing a history of nearly 1,800 years, and is a famous historical and cultural city in Zhejiang Province.

The economy of Pingyang County is dominated by industry, covering machinery, leather, plastics, electronics and other industries, while agriculture and fisheries are also well developed.
