Located in southeastern Senegal, in the Tambacounda region, Bandafassi is a typical small town in a remote part of the country, known for its untouched nature and traditional Wolof culture. Far from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is surrounded by savannah and farmland, with the fringes of the Niokolo Koba National Park adding a touch of wild charm. Most of the local people depend on agriculture for their livelihood, growing crops such as peanuts and millet, and hand weaving and traditional music remain important cultural legacies.
