Pingluo County is located in the northern part of China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, under Shizuishan City, in the heart of the Yinchuan Plain, with the Yellow River running through it. As an important agricultural and industrial base in Ningxia, Pingluo is known for its high-quality rice, wolfberry and coal resources. The region has a long history and boasts cultural monuments such as the Ming Great Wall Ruins and Tianzhou Pagoda, as well as a blend of Hui and Han nationalities and a rich folklore. Economically, Pingluo focuses on modern agriculture, energy chemicals and tourism, and actively develops ecological conservation projects such as the Sand Lake Wetland Park. Conveniently located near the Yinchuan metropolitan area, it is an important node city in northern Ningxia.
