The capital city of Ipoh retains its colonial architecture and is the birthplace of white coffee, which attracts food lovers; the state's Temple of Ultimate Bliss, one of the largest Buddhist temples in Southeast Asia, is magnificent; and the island of Bangkok is a vacation destination with its pristine beaches and relaxing atmosphere. Perak is also rich in agricultural resources such as durian and rambutan, and with an economy that spans tourism, manufacturing and agriculture, it is an ideal place to experience the diverse charms of Malaysia.
