Pendleton is a historic town in Anderson County, South Carolina, United States, located in the northwestern part of the state, about 30 miles from the city of Greenville. The town is known for its well-preserved 19th century architecture and deep cultural heritage.
Founded in 1790, Pendleton is one of the oldest towns in South Carolina. The town center is home to more than 50 historic buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Pendleton Borough Historical Museum, built in 1826. The town is also known for the Pendleton Farmstead National Historic Landmark, which showcases a unique look at an early farming community.
Each spring, Pendleton hosts the famous Pendleton Spring Festival, which attracts a large number of visitors who come to experience traditional crafts, music and food. The town is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and is close to the Savannah River and the Blue Ridge Mountains, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts to hike and fish.

Wengyuan County, part of Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province, China, is located in the mountainous area of northern Guangdong and is an important ecological barrier to the Pearl River Delta. It has a total area of 2,175 square kilometers and a population of about 400,000 people. As the "Hometown of Chinese Sanhua Plum" and "Hometown of Chinese Nine Immortal Peach", Wengyuan is famous for its specialty agricultural products and natural scenery.
Founded in 554 AD, Wengyuan is one of the 16 earliest established counties in the history of Guangdong. It has cultural sites such as Donghua Zen Temple and Hakka enclosures in Huxinba, as well as natural landscapes such as Lengquantan and Qingyun Mountain. The Hakka culture is profound, and the Hakka roundhouse and tea-picking opera are listed in the provincial intangible cultural heritage.
Wengyuan takes modern agriculture and eco-tourism as its core industries, and the scale of cultivation of Sanhua plums, Jiuxian peaches and orchids is among the largest in the province. In recent years, it has been actively developing new energy and eco-industries. With the Daguang Expressway and Wushen Expressway running through the whole territory, the transportation convenience continues to improve, and it is an important development node in the northern part of Guangdong.
