Pendleton is a historic town in Anderson County, South Carolina, United States, located in the northwestern part of the state, about 30 miles from the city of Greenville. The town is known for its well-preserved 19th century architecture and deep cultural heritage.
Founded in 1790, Pendleton is one of the oldest towns in South Carolina. The town center is home to more than 50 historic buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Pendleton Borough Historical Museum, built in 1826. The town is also known for the Pendleton Farmstead National Historic Landmark, which showcases a unique look at an early farming community.
Each spring, Pendleton hosts the famous Pendleton Spring Festival, which attracts a large number of visitors who come to experience traditional crafts, music and food. The town is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and is close to the Savannah River and the Blue Ridge Mountains, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts to hike and fish.
Pendleton's economy is dominated by tourism and small businesses, while its proximity to Clemson University benefits from the radiation of educational resources. Its tranquil atmosphere and rich historical heritage make it a highly sought-after residential and tourist destination in the Upcountry region of South Carolina.
Pulandian District is located in the south of Liaoning Province and the east side of Liaodong Peninsula, belonging to Dalian City, and is an important northern gateway area of Dalian City. Geographic coordinates between 121°16′~122°20′ east longitude, 39°19′~39°59′ north latitude, south of Jinpu New District, north of Yingkou Gaizhou City, east of Zhuanghe City, west of the Bohai Sea, Pulandian Bay, the location of significant advantages. Historically, it used to be Xinjin County, which was abolished as a county and set up as a city in 1991, and was approved by the State Council to be abolished as a city and set up as a district by the State Council in 2016, becoming a jurisdiction of Dalian City. The terrain in the region is high in the north and low in the south, belonging to the temperate monsoon climate, with four distinct seasons, Biliu River, Dasha River and other water systems throughout the territory, rich agricultural resources, especially "Pulandian strawberries" national geographic indications products are famous. In recent years, Pulandian District actively develops equipment manufacturing, food processing, modern agriculture and other industries, relying on the radiation of Dalian Metropolitan Circle, accelerating urban-rural integration and ecological construction, is an important bearing place for Dalian to expand the development space and bear the transfer of industries.
