Pendleton is a historic town in Anderson County, South Carolina, United States, located in the northwestern part of the state, about 30 miles from the city of Greenville. The town is known for its well-preserved 19th century architecture and deep cultural heritage.
Founded in 1790, Pendleton is one of the oldest towns in South Carolina. The town center is home to more than 50 historic buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Pendleton Borough Historical Museum, built in 1826. The town is also known for the Pendleton Farmstead National Historic Landmark, which showcases a unique look at an early farming community.
Each spring, Pendleton hosts the famous Pendleton Spring Festival, which attracts a large number of visitors who come to experience traditional crafts, music and food. The town is surrounded by beautiful natural landscapes and is close to the Savannah River and the Blue Ridge Mountains, making it ideal for outdoor enthusiasts to hike and fish.
Pendleton's economy is dominated by tourism and small businesses, while its proximity to Clemson University benefits from the radiation of educational resources. Located in the northwest of Sanming City, Fujian Province, at the southeast foot of Wuyi Mountain Range and the middle and lower reaches of Jinxi River, Jiangle County is known as the "Ancient County of Fujian and Yue, Green Jiangle". It was founded in the third year of Yong'an of the Three Kingdoms, Wu (260), and is one of the earliest six ancient counties in Fujian Province. It is rich in historical relics, with such monuments as Yang Shi's hometown in the Song Dynasty and Zhengjue Temple in the Tang Dynasty witnessing a thousand years of cultural lineage. Natural scenery to Yuhua Cave as the core of the national key scenic spots, karst cave wonders "a fan of wind, nine carp lake" and other attractions are famous; Tianji Mountain National Forest Park forest coverage of more than 90%, is a natural oxygen bar. As an important settlement of the Hakka folk system, the tea-making skills of Jiangle and the southern words and music are listed as national non-legacy, and the Hakka culture is profound. Relying on the Jinxi Ecological Corridor and Yuhua Cave Tourism Circle, Jiangle is building a tourism destination in central Fujian that integrates cultural experience and ecological recuperation.
