Located in Hualien County, Taiwan Province of China, Guanshan Mountain is a well-known landmark in the middle section of the Central Mountain Range, with an altitude of about 3,124 meters, and is known as the "Alps of Taiwan". Due to the steep mountainous terrain and year-round clouds, the magnificent "Guanshan Sea of Clouds" is formed, especially in the early morning and dusk, when the sea of clouds is like a fairyland, which is a favorite spot for photography enthusiasts to take pictures. The climate is cool, with an average temperature of about 18°C in summer, making it an excellent place to escape the heat and enjoy stargazing (one of the three major stargazing spots in Taiwan). In addition, the Guanshan Railway has a deep culture. The branch line of the old Alishan Forest Railway used to wind through the area, and the existing Guanshan Station and tunnel ruins are strung together with bicycle paths, allowing visitors to ride through the mountain scenery and experience the blend of history and nature. As an important ecological and humanistic attraction in eastern Taiwan, Guanshan Mountain, with its majestic landscapes and railroad sentiments, is a must-see site for exploring the charms of the Central Mountain Range.
