Pendleton is a historic town in Anderson County, South Carolina, United States, located in the northwestern part of the state, about 30 miles from the city of Greenville. The town is known for its well-preserved 19th century architecture and deep cultural heritage.
Founded in 1790, Pendleton is one of the oldest towns in South Carolina. The town center is home to more than 50 historic buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places, including the Pendleton Borough Historical Museum, built in 1826. The town is also known for the Pendleton Farmstead National Historic Landmark, which showcases a unique look at an early farming community.

Located in the western part of Dongguan City, Guangdong Province, China, Daojiao Town is an important water town in the Pearl River Delta, adjacent to a tributary of the Pearl River, with an area of about 63 square kilometers. The town has a long history, founded in the Song Dynasty, and is famous for its traditional Lingnan water town culture and dragon boat races, as well as the titles of "Hometown of Chinese Opera" and "Hometown of Chinese Folk Culture and Art".
Economically, Daojiao is dominated by manufacturing, food processing and modern agriculture, with well-known companies such as Hsu Fu Chi setting up factories here.
