Pasco is the largest city in Franklin County, Washington, United States, located in the southeastern part of the state at the confluence of the Columbia, Snake, and Yakima rivers. As an important part of the Tri-Cities region, Pasco, along with neighboring Kennewick and Richland, constitutes an important economic center in the state of Washington.
Pasco has a semi-arid climate with low annual precipitation, hot dry summers and mild winters. The city is located in the agricultural region of the Columbia Basin and is surrounded by irrigated agriculture, producing crops such as apples and wine grapes. The Columbia River provides abundant water resources and recreational opportunities.
The economy is anchored by the agriculture, food processing, logistics and energy industries. Pasco has a major railroad hub and regional airport and is a distribution center for agricultural products from the Columbia River Basin. In recent years, wine tourism and renewable energy industries have grown rapidly.
The city hosts annual traditional events such as the Columbia Basin Rodeo. The Pasco School District offers diverse educational services, and Columbia Basin College meets higher education needs. The cost of living is relatively low and outdoor recreational resources are abundant.
Located in the center of Zhoushan Islands, Zhejiang Province, China, Daishan County is an island county under the jurisdiction of Zhoushan City, with the East China Sea to the east and Hangzhou Bay to the west. The county consists of 404 islands with a land area of 326.5 square kilometers and a vast sea area, with fishery, port economy and tourism as the pillar industries. Daishan is rich in marine resources, producing seafood such as scallop and yellowtail, and is famous as the "Seafood Capital of China".
Daishan has beautiful natural scenery, with famous attractions including Lulan Clear Sand, Moxing Mountain Scenic Spot and Dongsha Ancient Town, of which Lulan Clear Sand is one of the longest sandy beaches in eastern China. The local culture is a blend of maritime folklore and Buddhist elements, such as the Ciyun Jiale Zen Temple and other historical sites. Daishan's mild climate and pleasant seasons make it suitable for eco-tourism and leisure vacation.
The economy is dominated by the marine industry, including aquatic processing, shipbuilding and new energy development. Daishan is conveniently connected to the mainland through the Zhaodai Bridge and is close to Ningbo and Shanghai, making it an important island tourist destination in the Yangtze River Delta region.
