Panyu is a municipal district under the jurisdiction of Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province, China, located in the center of the Pearl River Delta and adjacent to Hong Kong and Macau. As the core area in the south of Guangzhou, Panyu has a long history, having been the seat of the Nanhai County in the Qin Dynasty, with a history of more than 2,200 years of city building. The region is rich in cultural relics, such as Lingnan gardens like Baomo Garden and Yuyin Shanfang, as well as modern attractions like Changlong Tourism Resort.
Panyu has a well-developed economy, dominated by manufacturing, commerce and tourism, and is an important industrial and transportation hub in the Pearl River Delta. Guangzhou South Railway Station is located here, connecting to the national high-speed railway network. The local area is characterized by its Cantonese culture, and is popular with tourists for its Cantonese language, cuisine (such as ginger milk) and traditional festivals and events. Panyu blends historical and modern elements and is an important nodal city in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
