Located in the western part of Guizhou Province, bordering Fuyuan and Xuanwei in Yunnan Province, Panxian County is the western gateway of Guizhou and is known as the "Coal Capital". Located at the southern foot of Wumeng Mountain Range, the terrain is mainly highland mountainous, with Wumeng Prairie, Tule Ancient Ginkgo and other natural landscapes, of which Tule Ancient Ginkgo trees are more than 1,000 years old, known as "the home of the world's ancient ginkgo". The city is rich in history and culture, and was the place where the Panxian Conference was held during the Long March of the Red Army, where red culture and modern style are blended. Economically, Panxian once relied on coal resources, but in recent years, it has been actively transforming itself to promote eco-tourism, specialty agriculture (e.g. prickly pear, ham) and other diversified industries, and it is an important trade and logistics node at the junction of Guizhou and Yunnan, combining ethnic flavor and ecological charm.
Ruby is a small incorporated town in Tangipahoa Parish, Louisiana, United States, located about 60 miles northeast of the state capital of Baton Rouge and adjacent to the Mississippi border, and characterized by a quiet rural atmosphere and a deep community culture. Sparsely populated, with fewer than 500 people according to the most recent census, the town dates back to the late 1800s and, with its early rise to an agricultural economy (e.g., cotton and soybean farming), still retains the rustic look of a traditional Southern town. The town's landmarks include a century-old community church and several Victorian-style homes, and the annual fall "Ruby Family Day," which blends elements of local Cajun and Creole culture, has become a shared memory for the surrounding residents. Despite its small size, Ruby epitomizes the serenity of the American countryside with its simple folk and distinctive Louisiana southern flavor.
