Ouesso is the capital of the Sangha Province of the Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville for short), located in the northwest of the country, adjacent to the Sangha River and near the border with Cameroon. As the economic and administrative center of Sangha Province, Ouesso is an important transportation hub connecting the northern part of Congo (Brazzaville) with neighboring countries.
Located in the Congo Basin near the equator, Ouesso has a tropical rainforest climate with high temperatures and rainfall throughout the year and rich biodiversity. Surrounded by dense tropical rainforest, it has unique natural landscape and wildlife resources.
The economy of Ouesso is based on agriculture, forestry and trade, and the local people are mostly engaged in the cultivation of crops such as cassava and banana, as well as timber harvesting. Ouesso Airport and the Sangha River waterway together form the main transportation network that supports the flow of goods in the region.
Ouesso is predominantly inhabited by the indigenous Bantu people, who retain their traditional tribal culture and customs. The city is small, with relatively simple infrastructure, but it has a unique flavor of a tropical town and is an important gateway for exploring the nature and people of the Congo Basin.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
