Located in the western part of the Italian island of Sardinia, Oristano is the capital of the province of Oristano in Sardinia, a historic city known for its rich medieval heritage and unique cultural traditions. As the temporary capital of the former Kingdom of Sardinia, the old town still retains its 14th-century walls, the Castello di San Cristoforo and the magnificent Cattedrale di Santa Maria Assunta, which displays the architectural style of the Aragonese dynasty. The Discesa dei Candelieri (Knights of Sardinia), held every September, is the greatest tradition in the region, and this centuries-old religious celebration, inscribed on the United Nations World Heritage List, attracts visitors from all over the world. The area around Oristano is also home to one of Sardinia's most stunning coastlines, such as the beach of Mastanassa, which combines history and natural beauty, making it an ideal gateway for exploring Sardinian culture.
São Tomé and Príncipe is an island country in west-central Africa, consisting of the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and the surrounding islets, with the capital, São Tomé, located in the northeastern part of São Tomé. Located on the Gulf of Guinea, about 200 kilometers from the African continent, the country was colonized by Portugal in the 15th century and became independent in 1975, with Portuguese as the official language and an economy based on agriculture (cocoa, palm oil) and tourism. It should be noted that "Java" is not a city or region of the country; Java is the main island of Indonesia, with cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya, and has nothing to do with São Tomé and Príncipe, possibly due to a confusion of names.
